MASTER OF SCIENCE IN CYBER SECURITY AND MANAGEMENT (COURSEWORK)

Threats to our cyber security are real and Malaysia requires professionals with knowledge and skill to understand and mitigate threats systematically. Thus, effective management and governance, as well as technical skill, are essential in ensuring cyber security risks and threats are well managed. Through this combined approached, Malaysia can maintain and protect its critical services and information infrastructure from cyber security threats emerge over time. Therefore, the need to build expertise in cyber security skills become very significant. Our program has some specialities as compared to others because of the following

  1. To produce graduates who will be able to cope, adapt and make appropriate decisions in dynamic cyber security environment through applications of integrated knowledge, discipline and theories.
  2. To inculcate positive values, attitudes and provide operational and strategic cyber security skills so that the graduates can work in any organization and serve Nation.
  3. To equip graduates with an integrated knowledge and demonstrate the ability to perform as IT professionals and will be prepared for continued learning throughout their career.
  4. To produce graduates with capability of providing cyber security services in field of computer security to as well as national computing needs.
  • FULL TIME STUDIES

MINIMUM - 1 YEAR 3 MONTHS

  • PART TIME STUDIES

MINIMUM - 2 YEARS

MAXIMUM - 6 YEARS

- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer or Non-Computer with a minimum GPA of 2.75;

- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer or Non-Computer or equivalent with a minimum GPA of 2.50 (did not reach CGPA of 2.75) also accepted with passed the internal rigorous assessment; and

- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer or Non- Computer with lower than a GPA of 2.50 but has a minimum of five years working experience in relevant field. For ever Non-Computer Degree holder candidates are eligible to enter, but they must take some prerequisite modules before proceeding to their actual study.

The candidate must successfully complete 41 credits of courses comprising of core courses, elective courses and project dissertation that will be delivered in various mode including: lab work and lecture, individual and group assignments, case studies and presentation.

MASTER IN MARITIME TECHNOLOGY (MMT) (COURSEWORK)

MMT offered by the National Defence University of Malaysia (NDUM), has been carefully structured based on the collaboration with University Ecole Centrale De Nantes, France under the mutual agreement of Offset Program (France & Malaysia). This programme provides opportunities specifically for maritime agencies and industries candidates. This programme is designed to expose and develop student’s maritime experience on Naval Architecture, ship maintenance and ship operation. Besides that, it aims to highly achieve professionalism in term of leadership and decision making as Captain of a ship or Head of Department in ship operation as well as ship construction and maintenance. Part of the programme is also devoted to the practical used of ship simulator, ship design software and Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) as well as be able to relate the knowledges gain towards the enhancement of Maritime Defence and Technology.

  • FULL TIME STUDIES

  • A Bachelor's degree with minimum CGPA of 2.5 in Bachelor Degree in Maritime Technology Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical (Marine Technology), Electrical & Electronic, Naval Architecture and any fields that are equivalent or being recognized by the NDUM Senate: or
  • To whom has GPA less than 2.5 should undergo the NDUM internal test for Validation: or
  • Diploma in Science, Technology and Engineering fields or certificates which obtain from Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL).
  • Professional officers working in the maritime technology field in term of ship operation, ship maintenance and ship construction. For instances, Royal Malaysian Navy (RM) officers, Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (APMM), Ship's captain, Head of Department of shipping companies, shipyards (Boustead/MSE), Oil and gas and Marine Polis. Earning the STM will provide opportunities for graduate career employment.
  • Professional seeking the credentials to enter the field or those seeking career change will find multiple career options in Maritime Agencies.
